On Another Note

Synopsis:

Sarah Kenchington has always been musical but could never access music in a conventional way. From her collection of acquired junk, she builds her own bizarre yet fascinating mechanical musical instruments.

This documentary reveals a charmingly quirky personal portrait of Sarah, her work, and her community.

“Great sense of captured reality. Immediately creates a pastoral atmosphere. The details, the cinematography speak volumes. Sound is used effectively to evoke that sense of nature. And then this surprising singular story emerges. I loved the themes of technology and nature and their relationship. And the role of magic.”
– Larry Charles
